The Down to Earth (DtE) program currently has two active projects;
Four-Season Science –
using science to grow and harvest healthy produce all year long.
Bee Science –
connecting us with the considerable science surrounding the honey bee during the 200th birthday year of the inventor of the removable-frame hive, and the “Father of American Beekeeping,” Rev. Lorenzo L. Langstroth.

So do the stamp.
I fully support “Father of American Beekeeping, Rev. Lorenzo L. Langstroth.”

YES! Honeybees are very important to our food supply. We need to honor the” Father of American Beekeeping”.
I have no doubt that the U. S. Postal Service will come up with a great stamp to honor a man who clearly had the stamp of greatness. They came through before with a timely sheet of stamps to bring awareness to the fragility of our various natural pollinators. If Sea Biscuit and Bart Simpson have their own stamps then the Father of Modern Beekeeping shouldn’t be disregarded.
A stamp would, I believe, help in getting out the message of the importance of the honey bee and this man’s great work that is such a great aid to beekeepers today. I hope this comes true soon.

I’ll write a letter to the Postal Service in support of this.
Do you have a form letter, which will make this process easy? It would also help if you can get an online petition going.
